we are slowly building traditions with our kids. I desperately want traditions that my kids will remember forever. I seriously look forward to one day hearing, "hey mom, do you remember when we....". so we're slowly adding to our list of traditions - ones that happen frequently enough to forge those memories. Movie night has been an almost weekly tradition for nearly 5 years. This isn't to say we've never missed a weekend, but the kids look forward to it and that makes me happy. So, on either Friday or Saturday night, we have "Movie Night". This involves blankets, and popcorn and water bottles and candy and some movie that the entire family will enjoy. the lights are dimmed and the volume is turned up and we spend 2 hours just enjoying the movie and each other. Tonight's feature was the Bee Movie. Cute show. Another memory. Happy mom.

I never thought to take non-kid pictures, either, until I admired the photography of a friend (A Zebra's Thoughts, listed in my blog roll). She just has a knack of making anything look cool. She'll take pictures of the messy table after her daughter completes a craft project, or the food she makes for dinner, or one time, even crayon on the bedframe courtesy of her son! She makes everything look like art. I just try to copy her :)
I love that you have a blog and we can feel connected as well! Its so much better than email, even! Toby has a blog now and I love hearing about her life with triplets.
I hope your mom and Josh are recovering nicely! I've been sending good vibes and prayers your way :)
Cute jammies and kids. I love that you do movie night. You are such a fun mom. We put a movie on for the kids and then go upstairs and watch one we like. I need to be more like you! Love your blog...keep those posts coming!
