Josh and Mitchel completed the garden box and on Saturday we had a nursery deliver some dirt/soil to add to it. They were able to dump it fairly close to the box so we only had to shovel it once. Josh and I shoveled and the boys raked and leveled. They thought it was a pretty tough job! We then planted the items that can withstand some cold. Not sure they knew how cold it would get again (the day we planted was 65) but we've been told they will be fine. time will tell I guess. In this box we have carrots, peas, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower and strawberries. We were then out of room in the box. Another box is in the workings so we can plant some potatoes, onions, watermelon and pumpkins. I am glad Josh is motivated to do this, because I am not. I like the idea of having a garden I just feel so ignorant on the matter and am a little lazy when it comes to outside labor so if it was all up to me I would probably just do nothing.
