Is it really June?

My good friend Maryann and I have been walking in the mornings at 6:15 am. I must say I am proud of myself. I have never been good at this exercising thing. We walk MWF and the company thing is a definite help. I know there have been mornings that I would have rolled back over at the sound of that alarm if I didn't know Maryann would be at my doorstep any minute! It has been great. The mornings have definitely been chilly, but I just throw on my 180' s for ear protection and I am good to go. The fresh air actually feels wonderful.

This morning was a different story.

This was a bit more than cool, fresh air. This was like stinkin' winter all over again. It was 31 degrees and windier than windy making it feel like 20 something. It was more than I could handle. Maryann and I confirmed with each other that it was a no-go for today and then I crawled back in bed. Yes, it melted by 9am and yes, warmer temps are in the forecast, but seriously I'm thinking it can't be June!

Poor Flowers. Poor me.

OK, that is really bad. It has even been nice here in SD--and no cold mornings or anything! You just convinced me (not that I wanted to anyway, but you know) that I will never, ever move to Idaho. We will just have to coordinate visits in warm places.
