Ashley: mom, is it hard being a mom?
Mom: why do you ask?
Ashley: like one kid wants you and then another one and another one and some yell. and if they are whining because they are so hungry.
Mom: sometimes it is really hard, but it is totally worth it.
Ashley: mom, tomorrow is your lucky day!
Mom: why is that?
Ashley: because you don't have to make us breakfast!
(it was the night before the primary activity where they were serving breakfast!)
Ashley: mom, tomorrow is your lucky day again (the next week)
Mom:why?
Ashley: you get to sleep in!
I find it so amazing that she recognizes what a mom does. And I love that she shares her thoughts with me.
Ashley: I want to have 4 kids just like you. But maybe I would like to have 2 girls and 2 boys.
Mom: That would be perfect for you.
Ashley: If I had 4 kids just like you I would name them Caspian, Max, Sara, and Mick.
She is already such a good little mommy. She plays so kindly with Coleman. She is good at showing affection. She is also so concerned with other people's feelings. for example:
(after hearing Mitchel say he did not like the oatmeal chocolate chip bars I made)
Ashley: Mom, does that hurt your feelings?
Mom: no. everybody likes different things.
Ashley: But you made them. I love them mom.
I know there are more, but my memory fails me.
I'm pretty sure she is the sweetest 6 year old around!
