Saturday, March 6, 2010 was a pretty special day around our house. Ashley turned 8 and got to be baptized on her actual birthday. She has really been looking forward to this day. She even took it upon herself to invite people that are special to her, like her 2nd grade teacher. Ashley was delighted when she saw her there! We had lots of friends and family join us for her special day. It seriously made my heart full to feel the love from our family and friends here. I was also touched by the family members who although couldn't be here, remembered her special day and called to talk to Ashley. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people a part of my life and the lives of my children.
and although all of our eyes are squinty, we were so happy for the sunshiny day, we aren't about to complain about our eyes...

why is it your own kids get older and it is no big deal but when you hear of someone elses child getting older it is amazing? i can't believe ashley is 8 - it is not possible! do a post and tell what she is interested in now. i can't imagine having an 8 year old little girl :)
I can't believe Ashley is 8! What happened to that cute little girl crawling around making puppy noises? We miss you all!
