Okay, so I don't really live out in the country. I am less than 5 minutes from the mall, movie theater, Target, restaurants, and the grocery. But, we do have that country feel and I LOVE it.
Each morning on my walk I get to be reminded of why I love where I live. I love it for the sheer beauty of it all, but it also has this whole nostalgia effect for me. I find myself constantly scrolling through the memories of a different time. A time when I would leave the hustle and bustle of the big city and head to Idaho to spend a portion of my summer in Carey with my grandparents on their farm. Man, I miss them. I loved the way I felt when I was with them. I love them more than words can describe. I love how I feel a closeness to them living out here.
So, its not Carey (which is okay b/c I could not live THAT rural), its not their farm or fields or animals, but I still am in love with it all.

what a great post... this is why I love Idaho too! And you've put it so well. After reading this I feel like we've bonded.
beautiful pictures! and love your sentiment! life was simple back when we were kids and it is nice to have those same feelings once again.
